Privacy policy
201 studio is a web design and development studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information, and it follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Nothing directly. This site has no contact forms, no sign-ups, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell personal information. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers it next visit. It stays on your device, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. Loading any website means sending your IP address to whoever serves it. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site and keeps short-term request logs for security. Google Fonts serves one typeface, and unpkg serves a small smooth-scrolling script. We do not control what those providers log, and each is governed by its own privacy policy. When you write to hello@201studio.co we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and to carry out any work you engage us for, and we keep it only as long as that relationship and our record-keeping obligations require. Our email runs on Google Workspace. When we build a site for you we may handle your content, brand assets, logins and business details. We use them only to deliver the work, we do not share them outside the studio without your say-so, and we return or remove access when a project ends if you ask us to. Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us and we will respond within 5 working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy issue, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz. If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date above. Questions about any of it go to hello@201studio.co.
